As part of the Momentum Skills initiative, Clane College will be running game design courses in Galway & Limerick, which will be available free of charge to members of the public on the live register. Want to learn to create your very own computer games? All of our games design courses have been formulated to give you a well rounded, hands-on educational experience, with lots of practical assignments and projects to work on. Our computer game lab has been fitted out with excellent hardware and a full suite of software tools, allowing you to unleash the creative artisan within.

Furthermore, in consideration of the fact that peoples schedules and resources vary greatly - especially in economic times such as these - we have designed courses to suit any budget, starting at just €295! According to the research of respected academics in the irish field, such as Aphra Kerr & Anthony Cawley, the games industry in Ireland has experienced rapid

growth over the past several years. Two reports published in 2002 and 2009 indicate that the industry has grown by over 400% between those years! This makes games development and design one of the fastest growing employment sectors in the Republic of Ireland. Due to this, the opportunities for progression and career development in Ireland have increased dramatically. In short, there has never been a better time to get into Game Development.
